OCA South Africa consolidates its position in the South African market with the awarding of 2 new projects in different thermosolar plants

OCA South Africa reinforces its expansion with the awarding of 2 new projects in different thermosolar plants in South Africa. One of the projects has been awarded in the new thermosolar power plant Kathu I of 100MW parabolic cylindrical technology. The promoter is Engie and the main EPC is Liciastar (SENER + ACCIONA INDUSTRIAL). The estimated duration of the project is about 28 months from January 2017 and the main contracted services are: Non Destructive Testing (Conventional and Advanced) for the salt tanks as well as for structural and mechanical components.

On the other hand, it has also been awarded with different contracts in Ilanga I thermosolar plant, also 100MW parabolic cylindrical technology. The project promoter in this case is an association between Emvelo and Cobra and the main EPC is Dankocom (COBRA + SENER). The estimated duration is also about 28 months from November 2016 and by now, the major contracted services are: Legalization of the entire plant, Quality Control and Supervision in the mechanical, electrical and civil specialties for the perimeter works of the plant, Quality Control and Supervision of batching plants and Non Destructive Testing (Conventional and Advanced) for the salt tanks as well as for structural and mechanical components.
